Very well written essay I must say. Although as a member of couchsurfing.com I do feel a little torn by it. Yes hook-ups do of course happen but it is not such a common occurrence like the article make it sound. However the autor did alsomention it many times that the site is absolutly not a dating sait. Couchsurfing.com is for open-minded, generous and loving people who wants to help each other and themselves to explore and experience the world and different cultures.. and of course when people with similar interests meet, love and sex happens just like in for example bridge or motorbike clubs.. I think the autor did mention this quite clearly I just wanted to add that there is a big difference between joining to try to find someone to date, which is "wrongfull use", and to date someone that you met on CS, which is ok, since that is just "love happening on the way" and could happen anyplace.. Well that is my experience and opinion, others might disagree, but that is what makes things good, not everyone thinks the same, but for the most parts respect and accept others thoughts.
