what a wonderful world it'd be if all writers had the guts to write like elliott. he simply accomplishes what so many writers--even the heavy hitters, especially them!--fail to do: he opens up his heart onto the page. for starters, he makes jonathan safran foer look like something out of sesame street. in a world full of lies and junk entertainment and what passes for "literature," the honesty in elliott's voice here is warm cloak that enwraps the soul. thank you!
