CNN anchor comes out

Anderson Cooper finally embraces his sexuality. Just kidding! We're still waiting on that announcement. But Don Lemon, another handsome newsman over at CNN, has come out of the closet, via his new memoir, Transparent. In the memoir, he not only speaks candidly about his sexuality, but also reveals that he was the victim of sexual abuse as a child. In an interview with the New York Times, Lemon gives his reasoning for writing such an intensely personal book:

I abhor hypocrisy. I think if you're going to be in the business of news, and telling people the truth, of trying to shed light in dark places, then you've got to be honest. You've got to have the same rules for yourself as you do for everyone else.

Now Lemon joins ranks with MSNBC's Rachel Maddow and Thomas Roberts, both openly gay anchors.
