"Mad Men" appear on the cover of "Rolling Stone," make it sexy again
By Brian FairbanksAugust 31st, 2010, 1:15 pmComments (16)When we first started watching Mad Men, we couldn't understand why Jon Hamm would want to cheat on someone as sexy and gorgeous as January Jones, while we wondered why all those office girls were getting all the buzz from fans.
Now, everything has changed. Elisabeth Moss is an indisputable bombshell of talent, looks and sex appeal, while Christina Hendricks is, you know, just all right. (Just kidding, obviously.) The three lady stars of the show never look better -- or more Photoshopped -- with Hamm on the cover of the new Rolling Stone, which hits stores on Friday.
The magazine gave us a little teaser, which sadly doesn't have anything to do with sex:
After three seasons on AMC, a basic-cable network previously known for endless reruns of second-rate movies, Mad Men established a hold on America's fantasy life like no show since The Sopranos. "The big question the show is trying to answer through Don has to do with identity," Weiner says. "Who am I? — It's only the biggest theme in all of Western literature."
To make it happen, Weiner assembled a cast he could relate to — veteran actors who had spent their careers toiling in relative obscurity. Jon Hamm, who plays Draper, had a few scenes in We Were Soldiers. January Jones, who plays his brittle and ethereal ex-wife, Betty, showed up in the third American Pie movie as Stifler's love interest. Christina Hendricks, who rules the offices of Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce as Joan, appeared in a video for the Nineties rock band Everclear. Nobody wanted them. Today, everybody knows their names, everybody covets their careers, everybody wants to get next to them. [Rolling Stone]
"Get next to them"? We're pretty sure that term isn't invented until season eight, set in 1971, when Al Green takes over the world.

That's what I call a Hamm sandwich.
January Jones was an abortion on SNL, and has about as much talent as Janet Gretzky. One gear: cold, ice princess bitch. But i'd bang January any month of the year.
I think the internet is broken. I keep typing in "Hooksexup" and I keep getting redirected to some Mad Men site.
You can't have too much Mad Men, what with all the swill populating the vast wasteland. One day I will discover a continuity error. One day!
Oh, Ditto, I think you might be confused -- you see, when you click on a link about Mad Men (you should be able to tell by the words "Mad Men" in the title), that will bring you to some content about Mad Men! It must be hard to use the Internet when you think every link will just take you to some random page, the subject matter of which you have no way of anticipating.
Two words: the Hawaii 5-0 re-runs on Spike.
What I don't understand about AMC is the way the rest of the network is going from bad to worse. The original dramas are great but it's as if they are losing buckets of money on them, so we get whole weekends of utter dreck like the recent spate of Stephen Seagall movies. Heck if they would just return to their staple of old John Wayne movies I can at least use AMC to baby-sit my mom-in-law (AMC please take note, make the switch by Thanksgiving; she's coming to visit again).
Where is Trudy Campbell??
Elizabeth Moss was used a lot in West Wing, she had something going on pre-Mad Men
I hope you're getting paid for your endless promotion of this show
We could use some more Trudy, but what about Sal? Where's the Sal and gagball scene? Get on it Weiner!
I would pay the producers to talk about their show, it's all we have, besides Tim & Eric. There's nothing else. What are you gonna watch, Who Wants to Marry The Bachelor Survivor Flav Runway Chef Teen Mom Intervention?
Yes, we need more Trudy. She is the sexiest woman on the show -- a shame they keep her all covered up.
Christina already had a bit of a fan base from her days as "YoSaphBridge" on Firefly. I'm not a big fan of Moss - she's kind of dry - and Jones actually plays the dumb blonde okay - she was kind of funny in "Pirate Radio" and in "Love Actually."
I first saw Christina Hendricks in fire fly a sci fi series. Wow is what I said.
Way to use the internet to help peolpe solve problems!
Wow, I its a nice rolling stone picture, I give them credit for that. I'm glad Mad Men was able to solve their season 5 problems and are back on tract up till the series finale.
Now you say something
