Al Pacino stars in his first black & white coffee commercial
By Lindsay CutlerJuly 14th, 2010, 9:42 amComments (3)After forty years of integrity-having, non-coffee-commercial-making success, Al Pacino finally made his first coffee commercial. It was also the first commercial of his career. (I guess nobody's making Sambuca ads these days. BAM!)
Did he have to do this? No. Unless it was a special, career-qualifying favor to his friends at Australia's own Vittoria Coffee, no. This is not to say his film record is completely stirling (only mostly stirling, in a film legend kind of way), but after decades of declining the advertising world's mouth-foaming pleas that Pacino Be The Face Of ________, you gotta ask yourself, why now?

Actually a beautifully made commercial. Moody, sincere, and not over the top. I can't fault him for this.
It really is quite an elegant coffee commercial.
Best line: "I'm gonna feel awkward." Pacino be a poet and shit.
