Crush of the Week: Adele

Posted by Emily Farris

We had never heard of Adele before Saturday night. It's probable that most of the 17 million people who watched Saturday Night Live to catch a glimpse of Republican Vice Presidential nominee Sarah Palin last weekend hadn't either. Lucky for Adele, and for us, she happened to be on the most watched episode of SNL since 1994. And we were absolutely blown away by the British songstress.

Adele, who sounds like a sweet, controlled Amy Winehouse, studied at the same school as Winehouse (and Kate Nash). Except, she doesn't appear to be a crack head and she's absolutely gorgeous.

But we're going to shut up now and let Adele do the talking singing.

Video of Adele performing "Chasing Pavements," the first number she sang on SNL, after the jump.
