Get it? Plastic?
When “High School Musical” star Ashley Tisdale’s doll was unveiled last month at the TIA Toy Fair in New York City — complete with outfits based on the 22-year-old’s music video and red-carpet looks — there was one problem. The doll hardly looks like the new Ashley; it resembles the “High School Musical” star before her nose job last November, according to some who’ve seen then doll.
Now MSNBC, InTouch Magazine, and cosmetic surgeon Dr. Patrick Abergel would have us believe that this doll's somehow supposed to have Ashley's old, pre-surgery nose -- which we're not buying at all. Since when were non-McFarlane action figures supposed to be so accurate, huh?
What we will concede -- sadly -- is that it's entirely possible that toymakers have a better sense of proportion -- and more of an ability to tell their clients "No" -- than plastic surgeons. Meaning that when we get that implant of "badassness," we are totally getting it done by whoever made this.
