As Bill Hader exits SNL, he'll take our favorite character with him.
Saturday Night Live has been experiencing something of a renaissance in the last few years with comedic heavy-hitters like Kristen Wiig, Jason Sudeikis, Fred Armisen, Seth Meyers, and Bill Hader breathing new life into what was growing to be a tired tradition. As Wiig left the cast last year, there have been plenty of rumors that the rest of the A team would follow suit. Today, it was sadly announced that Bill Hader's last episode will be this Saturday's season finale. Of all the curmudgeonly old men and bizarre impressions Bill Hader has in his repertoire, we'll mourn Weekend Update's city correspondent Stefon the most—it is by far his most beloved and best executed incarnation of his eight year run. We will miss him constantly breaking character, his overt advances on Seth Meyers, and the visions a dying gay man would have if he was under too many blankets. Here's to our favorite sassy gay socialite, Stefon (and, of course, Bill Hader).
5. Jewpid's arrow
In one of the most triumphant portmanteaus Stefon ever delivers, he tells us about New York's hottest Valentine's day night club which features twelve dancing Jewpids. Jewish Cupids: they just want you to meet someone nice and settle down. By the end of the update, even Seth Meyers in not immune to Jewpid's arrow.
4. Club Spicy
Spicy might be one of the most hilarious destinations Stefon ever guided us to and this one's for Mother's Day. Spicy, opened in 2017 on the Upper East Side of a dumpster, features the one and only subway sleeping bag. What is it? You're going to have to watch the clip to find out.
3. Stefon's plus-one is Zoolander
In one of those masterfully conceived moments in SNL history, iconic Derek Zoolander stops by Weekend Update as Stefon's new best friend (and potential love interest). Zoolander introduces us to the hippest new neighborhood, SoWeHoBeLoHobo. That's south of West Houston below lower Hoboken, woah.
2. Teddy Graham People & Human Fire Hydrants
The best thing about the Stefon bit is the power of the absurdist humor. Bill Hader can pretty much spout any string of cleverly crafted words and it will come out as pure, hilarious gold. Case in point: as Stefon discusses New York's hottest faux clubs for visiting tourist families, he includes Wesh, run by a 9-year-old Tokyo pimp and full of Teddy Graham people (You know, when a guy has stumpy arms but with a belly). Watch as Hader adorably struggles through fits of giggles to come back to character while trying to explain the wonder of human fire hydrants.

If there was a will-they-or-won't-they of SNL, it would have to be between Seth Meyers and Stefon. And finally, around St. Patrick's Day last year, the day came when their lips finally met. And the world was left laughing and kind of turned on.
