Switching the game up when it comes to coming on camera.
Porn was created because God loves us and wants us to be happy. (Or was that beer? Who can say.) But a lot of times it can be disappointingly formulaic and disingenuous. What makes porn real, as David Foster Wallace wrote, is "'the faces,' i.e. the actresses’ faces, i.e. those rare moments in orgasm or accidental tenderness when the starlets dropped their stylized 'fuck-me-I’m-a-nasty-girl' sneer and became, suddenly, real people. 'Sometimes — and you never know when, is the thing —sometimes all of a sudden they’ll kind of reveal themselves'… 'Their what-do-you-call … humanness.'" Multi-media project "Beautiful Agony" hopes to highlight these honest and human moments, switching the game up when it comes to coming on camera.

While it sounds like a Nickelback cover band, this project is a fantastic compilation of "genuine, unscripted, natural orgasm" for the public's viewing pleasure. Users submit clips of themselves masturbating with the camera focusing on their face and for $8 a month, subscribers can watch all the videos they want. Developed in 2003 by a few Australian friends, the site now has thousands of contributors. Below are some of the best shots and a video compilation. And if the mood strikes, you can submit your own video here.
