Travelers open themselves up to a world of new experiences: spelunking in the caves of Costa Rica, Valencian paella dishes, strolls down the Champs-Élysées, maybe even sighting the phalluses of the Indian Konark Sun Temple. But, if you're a particularly adventurous dancer or frequent hostels with sangria-filled "youth activity nights," you'll know that part of mingling with another culture is mixing with the locals. The sexual anthropologists over on Reddit have compiled a list of their myriad worldly experiences to finally answer the question, "Do people from other countries have sex any differently?" Some are blatantly stereotypical, some I'm pretty skeptical about, while others are hilariously insightful. No one culture can be reduced to a sex act, and no one partner speaks to a whole nation, but, man, we do have our habits.
Guatemala
"I've hooked up with a girl from Guatemala and a girl from Haiti. Both depended on me to be very dominant and take total control. Not in a kinky way but in more of a 'let's do what YOU want' way. That may have been just them though. It's hard to classify two experiences as representative of a culture."
Germany
"I've noticed German girls stick their finger in my butt more than other girls and without warning."
Netherlands
