So what are you reading?
It’s a book about the love story between Igor Stravinsky and Coco Chanel.

What made you want to read about that?
It’s quite funny, I opened my wardrobe the other day and this book fell on me. And I’ve never seen this book in my life. So I decided to read it.

So what have you learned so far?
Well, Coco Chanel came up with Chanel #5 while their love blossomed one summer in Paris. And she was his muse to create music.

Wasn't he married?
Yeah, he had four kids and a wife. His wife was sick. It was a public affair though.

Has the book put you in a romantic mood?
Yeah, I love reading stories about people who love till the end of their days.

Has a book ever sparked a love affair in real life for you?
Not really. Nothing I would create a perfume about, anyway.

Have you ever had a crush on a character from a book?
Harry Potter. I was very upset when he hooked up with Ginny. That was back in the day, so I was really upset.

I was too. Is Harry still your type now?
Yeah, I try to go for magicians.

mmm

It would be helpful if the person asking the questions was either extremely well-read, or at least aware of the books people read. That way, the interviewer could ask insightful questions. However, I think this is a great feature and look forward to more.

There are, on average, 400,000 books published a year. You be the person to knock that many out and do the interviews so that they can be up to the insight codes of your specification.

None of the books mentioned were particularly obscure. They were broad enough that even without reading them I was familiar with them. You'll notice in my original comment I said "at least aware" of the books. I'm not asking the interviewer to read 400,000 books/year. I'm asking them to ask insightful questions.

MORE PLEASE!

I gotta say that I'm pretty happy with a lot of the newer regular features. The Dateline bit is good, as is Ridiculous Tips for a Miserable Sex Life. Keep this stuff coming.

Yep, gorgeous idea for a feature. Love it. It almost makes up for the shortened 'talking to strangers'. But the Q&A could be a question or two longer...

I havent finish atlas shrugged either, didnt have time. One day me and a friend walked past it in a boardes and he was saying something about how ayn rand was crazy and how this book was like bible #2 to conservatives. I told him i was reading it annd that it was actually pretty good and we had this discussion about it. In the middle of it i realized that i had rewritten the book subcounciosly and took out all thecrazy bull shit away. Somewhere in between i turned the lovestory into a lesbian love affair becuse i just couldnt keep up with the crazy anymore. To say the least, the atlas shrugged i thought i read was by far more liberal and kick ass than the one loony ayny wrote
couldnt couldn't keep up with the crazy anymore.
