Keanu Reeves writes a book about his sad, sad life

As if I needed another reason to be bemused by poor, sad Keanu, the actor has penned a book based on his Sad Keanu persona, an internet meme revolved around pictures of the actor looking sad and alone in a cruel world. If you haven't seen them, check it out, but first make sure you shut all the windows and hide your supply of nooses. The book is called Ode to Happiness, and features ink-blot paintings that look like someone cried all over them (much like the letters I used to send to my parents from sleep-away camp, blotted with Sprite-tears, begging for them to come pick me up) with messages like "I draw a hot sorrow bath."

I know, you are dying to get your hands on this book as soon as possible, but sadly the masterpiece is a limited edition of only 4,000 copies, available in the U.K., because British people understand sadness most of all, I guess. But fret not, Reeves plans on penning another book called Haiku of Hope. He says that his starting off point is "basically like, 'I want to kill myself', and go from there."

Music to my ears. Is there anything more attractive than a man who can make fun of himself? Yes. A man who looks like Keanu Reeves and can make fun of himself. Do you support Reeves' foray into self-mocking prose? Or do you want him to keep doing what he does best: playing hot doctors who fall in love with Diane Keaton?

With all the money he's given to charity, he could sell a photo of his toilet bowl after hard nights of drinking, and I'd still say "good for you Keanu"

awesome

I'm buying this book. Keanu is awesome and even more awesome now. The usual celebrity gets a court order to take down whatever makes fun of them on the internet. They need to embrace it like Keanu!

I watched "The Lake House" dubbed in Spanish--he's actually a better actor than one might think, deducting the halting surfer-boy cadences. And probably lots of reasons why he's led a fairly solitary, out-of-the-limelight existence, compared to a lot of his contemporaries--perhaps now we'll know.

In light of only 4000 copies being sold ONLY in the UK, maybe they "get" him. Gotta love a man that won't touch even a letter than a fan writes, just cause he doesn't want to be responsible for what they say, ask or do....gotta love that!!!

Much Love,

Zelle

He is unique in is universe. He is a lovable hack. There is nothing he can't do that isn't unintentionally funny, quaint, cute, or cool to hate. The odds of him becoming a deity in the far flung future are quite high!
