Believers and non-believers continue their long, drawn-out battle, this time in a contest that pits atheist vs. Christian in a gladiatorial, online fundraising death match.
The social-networking site Reddit hosts various online community groups, such as reddit.com/r/christianity and reddit.com/r/Atheism. These two groups are now duking it out through the auspices of FirstGiving.com, the communities' fundraising pages. Around $45,000 has already been raised, with the atheists donating to Christians, and vice versa, in the spirit of impartial generosity. Reddit's Muslim community has now entered the fray. I'm pretty sure this is exactly what Michael Jackson was talking about.
Both World Vision, the Christian relief group, and Doctors Without Borders will now benefit from this virtual anti-Armageddon. Sometimes a pissing match can be fruitful.
