About a month ago, Esquire named Minka Kelly their "Sexiest Woman Alive" and ran a (surprise!) sexy photo shoot with the actress. The magazine has been on newsstands since October but has not yet appeared in the App Store for iPad. Why not? Because Steve Jobs really, really hates nakedness.
There is no other explanation. The photos (an example or two of which I've posted) are sexy. But they're not porn. They just show cleavage and silhouette and conveniently crossed arms — standard fare for just about everybody these days. The issue was allegedly rejected several times and a revised version (in which Minka Kelly is rumored to be wearing a Slanket), is likely to be up in a couple of days.
Apple has long been waging a war against porn, and now they've seemingly turned against sexiness in general. Their policy is a little unclear. Apps like Sexy Scratch Off (that shows lady-underwear!) have already been banned, while Playboy's app remains.
