Among many beneficiaries of the death of Osama bin Laden may be The Hurt Locker director, Kathryn Bigelow, as long as she can get her next movie, titled Kill Bin Laden, into theaters in a timely fashion. According to The AV Club, she's been working on the film for some time; yesterday's news that Bin Laden had in fact been killed may be either a boon or a source of a lot of pressure to finish in a hurry. Kill Bin Laden, which has yet to shoot, concerns an earlier attempt to capture the terrorist leader, but it's easy to imagine an expository card popping up before the credits, American Graffiti-style, to update the viewers who somehow miss the biggest news story in the world. ("Steve went on to City College to major in communications. Osama was killed in Pakistan.")

The AV Club also notes that Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson tweeted an allusion to the news of Bin Laden's death ("Just got word that will shock the world—Land of the free… home of the brave") forty-five minutes before the story actually leaked. Does this mean that The Rock will be starring in his own Bin Laden movie? Or, wait, does that mean that The Rock killed Bin Laden? That's the more entertaining rumor, so let's start that one.

Bin Laden was actually killed by a team made up of The Rock, Vin Diesel and Chuck Norris. Harrison Ford flew the helicopter, because he can.

The Rock is, in fact, Bin Laden. Further proof the killing of Bin Laden is a fraud.
