Beyonce fires her father/manager for stealing from her

There's a lot to love about Beyoncé: she writes the hottest jams about committed, monogamous relationships; she speaks out in support of other women; she is, as she once assured us, "bootylicious;" and she did this. Oddly, though, one of my favorite things about her is that she is such a consummate business woman. (And she lives it, too. It takes a lot of balls to write a "screw you" song to two people you kicked out of your super successful girl group.) And while people often assumed she was being svengalied by her father, it seems the tables have turned; she just canned his ass for stealing from her:

In the [legal] documents — obtained by TMZ — Mathew Knowles claims Live Nation Entertainment wanted desperately to sink its fangs into Beyonce's 2011 world tour. According to the docs, Mathew claims Live Nation told Beyonce that Mathew "had stolen money from Beyoncé on her most recent tour or otherwise taken funds that [he] was not entitled to." 

Mathew claims Live Nation was effective, because Beyonce had her law firm conduct an audit, and the law firm concluded Mathew had indeed pilfered money from her. Beyoncé then fired him.

Beyoncé is cold as ice! Pater Knowles, obviously, claims that Live Nation's claims are false — and that Beyoncé's new manager is a former Live Nation exec, to boot. We'll see what happens with the papers he filed, but I don't think anyone — even family — crosses Beyoncé without paying for it. (So watch your step, Solange.)
