Platinum Goddess
by Kim Weston

I have a problem in museums: I hate being told not to touch the art. My fingertips tingle, and I always want to run my hand along a modern sculpture or bronze bust, hoping the museum guard won’t notice. Kim Weston’s photography sparks the same naughty instinct in me. Through his silver-gelatin printing process, he transforms his models’ bodies into silver, lunar landscapes. The women are elevated to high art, a platinum sheen highlighting their bare flesh. They’ve become lustrous sculptures, and will definitely make you want to reach out and touch. — Eric Larnick
