With all of the hype surrounding the new "fashionably gay" reality based TV shows, we think it about time some good ol' fashioned British humor poked its way into the reality mix. Or, er, pseudo-reality, rather. BBC's The Office has been called, "The funniest British export since Monty Python" by Variety. The mockumentary style office comedy follows the employees of Wernham Hogg, a suburban paper company where "life is stationary." People who think their job is bad have never worked for David Brent. On October 7 BBC Video will give cubicle dwellers everywhere a look inside his scarily realistic, yet brilliantly funny world with the first season of The Office, exclusively on DVD. The DVD will prepare fans for The Office season 2 which premieres on BBC America October 12th. |
