G4 developing "Hurt Locker" reality series

Seeing as how all things in our culture come full circle and inevitably wind up as a reality show, it was only a matter of time before the same happened with the Afghan war.

The G4 channel is developing a reality series based loosely off Kathryn Bigelow's The Hurt Locker. The show will follow an American bomb squad in Afghanistan as they dismantle bombs and generally place themselves in the line of fire. 

G4 president, Neal Tiles, said, "This is a rare opportunity to showcase the work of the courageous men and women on the front lines” and would also connect with the young male viewers already tuning in to G4 programs like “Attack of the Show!”

Bomb Patrol: Afghanistan will air sometime next spring.
