Like many moviegoers, I thought that Casino Royale was the best Bond film in decades. But it still remains to be seen whether that film’s high level of quality was a fluke, or indicative of a new direction the series will take. Going solely on the basis of this teaser, results are inconclusive. But then, the advertising for 007 movies is even more formulaic than many of the movies themselves, especially when it comes to the initial teasers. After a prelude that introduces the premise of the new film, we follow with a quick-cutting montage of action sequences, scantily-clad babes, and glimpse of the new villain- in this case the great Matthieu Amalric. But then, the Bond movies are almost always popular, so why mess with a good thing? If nothing else, Daniel Craig looks as worthy of the license to kill as he did the first time he donned the tux. Still not sure about that title though.
