My name's Anita, and I'm from the Bronx.

What are some trends you've been into recently?
I've been seeing a lot of street style, onesies, little retro T-shirts, and vintage wife beaters with graphics on them. Lots of two-finger rings and metal and studs and all of that.

Tell us about what you're wearing.
These shoes I got from a seven-dollar shoe store in the Bronx -- so I paid seven dollars for them. The dress is from H&M, I think I paid twelve dollars for it. The rings I got off the street, from street sellers. I get my hair cut at the barber, but I do this, I style it myself.

What are some styles that totally turn you off?
Bell bottoms, pants that don't fit the person, stomachs hanging out of shirts, clothes that don't fit the body.

If you were going out to try to pick somebody up, what would you wear?
Something from American Apparel. Something nice and bright. Not too much, something that fits my body, and simple heels. You don't have to do too much to impress people.

What's an outfit that would make you go over and talk to someone?
Something simple. I don't like flashy. Maybe a nice v-neck and jeans. Sandals, if they can pull off sandals. If not, regular Converse.

What about the opposite, something that would keep you from talking to someone?
Again, anything that's too flashy. Someone who doesn't look attractive, but thinks they're attractive, like "Hey, look at me. Come talk to me." I hate that.

Who are some of your style icons?
Rihanna, Beyonce, Alicia Keys, and Kelis. I love Kelis. Love her.

What about guys?
Trey Songz, P. Diddy, Chris Brown. And that's about it.
