Bradley Cooper might star in a remake of "The Crow," unfortunately
By David WarnerApril 13th, 2011, 11:03 amComments (5)I'm not going to bash Bradley Cooper, I promise. I am actually fond of Bradley Cooper, All About Steve not withstanding. He's carved out a nice little niche for himself as the good-looking douche who everyone hates to love. So, why is he in talks to star in a remake of The Crow?
I understand that the remake is the new Shakespeare adaptation, but come on! For the sake of brevity, let's drop the fact that this movie probably shouldn't be happening at all, and focus on Brad.
When I look at Bradley Cooper, the last thing I see is the next emo, leather-clad, half-dead superhero. If he wants to transition into action, I am all for that, but painting his face white and strapping on some platform boots doesn't seem like the way to do that. Maybe director Juan Carlos Fresnadillo (28 Weeks Later) will revolutionize the source material and prove me wrong, but I'm not holding out hope. Either way, the production of this film is moving at a blistering pace — plans are to shoot this fall — so, I fear my plea will go unheard.

So far this year this seems like the worst idea for a remake.
Another Crow movie, one actually done with a budget and decent actors, would be really nice to see. It would at least serve as an apology for the disasters that followed the original. So far, I'm not seeing this film as an answer to that "wicked prayer." Ugh. I just threw up a little.
That would be so awful. Please no.
Why does it need a remake? It doesn't.
Scrap the idea. Scrap the idea! SCRAP THE IDEA!!!! Why Bradley Cooper? Get Joseph Gordon Levitt to play Eric Draven. He's the spitting image of Bradon Lee and sounds like him as well! Bradley Blooper on the other hand doesn't look or sound anything like him! Cast Joseph Gordon Levitt please do that for me. Or if thats not enough. They should resort to casting random black metal stars as the crow! Yeah i know, no one can imagine Gahhl, Shagrath or King ov Hell as the crow. BUT AT LEAST THAT'S BETTER THEN CASTING PRETTY BOY!!!! Please do me a favor and use one of two of my ideas. Thank you whoever is in charge of the film.
