Golden Globe nominations announced, and they're... a bit weird

The Hollywood Foreign Press (with a little help from Josh Duhamel, Katie Holmes, and Blair Underwood) announced the nominees for this year's Golden Globes, and they're kind of odd! (Not unlike their roster of announcers.) People, perhaps, don't expect so much from the red-headed stepchild of award shows, but when you nominate Angelina Jolie for her role in The Tourist, that's what happens. The nice thing about the Golden Globes is that sometimes, their off-beat choices recognize some people who deserve accolades for their performances but will never get them from the Oscars or the Emmys — I'm thinking Emma Stone and Mila Kunis here, who both gave winning performances this year. On the other hand, you also get several nominations for Burlesque, a movie that couldn't manage to be camp even though Cher is in it. (Also, Scott Caan? I enjoy him and his abs, but... really?) Oh well. Let award season begin!
