The hotly anticipated trailer for X-Men: First Class has finally arrived to the internet, and it looks as though it's been well worth the wait. The scene is set with a sobering speech from President Kennedy, allowing the tensions of both the Cold War and the civil-rights movement to lend the movie thematic texture — and awesome outfits. It's like Mad Men with mutants.

Oh yeah, the good ol' Russians. They never disappoint.
Was Nightcrawler red?
Nevermind, apparently, that's Azazel, NC's dad.
if you're going to steal jokes from WWTDD, at least make them funnier.
because there's no way anyone else could've thought of that groundbreaking joke.
So, Angel (the one played by Zoe Kravitz, with the insect wings) is definitely a mutant hooker, right? Please tell me someone else thought this.
I love that the films are skipping over any of the good years the comics ever had, and injecting crap from the current mess that Marvel is backwards in time, to prevent the films from accidentally being good. It's amazing how easy it would be to make a successful film by just paying the writers of the comics for their already-written ideas, and ending up with a plot and character designs from years of trial and error that will actually hold together. Unlike this crap.
Oooooh this looks cool. So much prequelly goodness.
