Remember uninformed lunatic activist "filmmaker" James O'Keefe, who was recently arrested for illegally entering a Senator's office to possibly wiretape her phone? He's the same guy who selectively edited a video of himself dressed as a pimp to help destroy the ACORN organization, which helps poor people register to vote. His latest bit of insanity may be his most horrifying: he set up a hidden camera sting on a CNN reporter who he wanted to punk with — wait for it — an evening of sexual harassment.
O'Keefe… hoped to get CNN Investigative Correspondent Abbie Boudreau onto a boat filled with sexually explicit props and then record the session…
The plan apparently was thwarted after Boudreau was warned minutes before it was supposed to happen. [Media Matters]
Listed under "equipment needed," is "hidden cams on the boat," and a "tripod and overt recorder near the bed, an obvious sex tape machine."
Among the props listed were a "condom jar, dildos, posters and paintings of naked women, fuzzy handcuffs" and a blindfold.
Now, this sicko is striking back at — what else — the media, which all of these people believe makes stuff up if the facts don't agree with their completely uninformed positions. Of course, his e-mails about it to friends paints a different picture:
Abby, who works for Anderson Cooper at CNN, a network notorious for journalistic malpractice, wants to lull me into thinking she's my friend so she can use me and hurt my career.
Instead, I've decided to have a little fun. Instead of giving her a serious interview, I'm going to punk CNN. Abbie has been trying to seduce me to use me, in order to spin a lie about me. So, I'm going to seduce her, on camera, to use her for a video. This bubble-headed-bleach-blonde who comes on at five will get a taste of her own medicine, she'll get seduced on camera and you'll get to see the awkwardness and the aftermath. [via Media Matters]
Emphasis mine. Sound familiar? The last time I heard similar language was in a news story about a guy testifying at his sex crime trial.
It should be noted that there is absolutely zero evidence that Boudreau wanted to do anything except interview O'Keefe and shoot behind the scenes of a music video he was creating. What hilarious "pranking" he expected to do to a defenseless woman trapped in a sex sting on a boat is up to you to figure out.
