Watch: Kristen Schaal sings, dances, strips at the Writers Guild Awards

Hooksexup pal and general cool person Kristen Schaal had the honors of hosting the Writers Guild Awards East over the weekend. And she was, as you might suspect, funny, because, you know, she had to cull laughter from writers rather than Brad Pitt. 

After a decidedly friendly monologue (she targeted only Charlie Sheen and Betty White, which, in the wake of Gervaisgate, could be called restraint), Schaal busted out a song-and-dance number in which she didn't sing and barely danced. You'll have to watch to see what I mean — and to see her strip off her modest blazer-skirt combo to reveal the shimmering black dress underneath.

Fun fact: the actual singer's voice belongs to none other than James Franco.
