Are you the person who badmouths a restaurant to your friends if you find so much as an eyelash on the edge of your plate? Then the Sub Rosa restaurant in Dundee, Oregon is probably not the place for you… since the staff usually prepares all the food in the buff.
Of course, as with any place that deliberately violated health code and then flaunts it in the national media, there’s a catch: the Sub Rosa is barely more than an online source of information like recipes and photos of naked people making food. One writer notes that she was able to hire them for a party, but they have no exact location you can just drop in at.
It all started, the website notes, at a Fourth of July BBQ that got too hot to handle, with most of the staff stripping off their clothes by the end of the day. “At some point this space will turn into a real functioning summer kitchen, but for now it is merely a storage facility for wine to be distilled and my stone carving workshop.”
