Contributors to hooksexup.com range from the freshest young talent to some of the most well-established greats.

Nan Goldin has had several solo photography exhibits, including her renowned slide show "The Ballad of Sexual Dependency" and her retrospective "I'll Be Your Mirror" at the Whitney Museum of American Art in 1986. Her books include The Other Side (1992), I'll Be Your Mirror (1996) and Couples and Loneliness (1998).

Andres Serrano studied photography at the Brooklyn Museum Art School in New York. He has received grants from the New York State Council on the Arts, the National Endowment for the Arts and other foundations. His photography has been exhibited at museums around the world, including The Whitney Museum of American Art, The Museum of Contemporary Art and The National Museum of Photography. Body and Soul is a bound collection of his work.

Bettina Rheims has exhibited her work at major museums and galleries in Paris, New York, Boston, Tokyo, Berlin, Munich, London and Milan. Among her numerous books are Female Trouble, Modern Lovers, Les Espionnes, Animal and INRI, and her work has been published widely in magazines such as Vogue, Paris Match and Details. In 1994, she won the Grand Prix de la Photographie de la Ville de Paris.

Dah Len became interested in photography after studying architecture at UC Berkeley, and has shot covers for such magazines as Details, Paper, Vibe, and Detour. In addition, he has photographed many high-profile ad campaigns, including work for Guess and Tanqueray.

Sylvia Plachy is staff photographer for The Village Voice. Her first book, Unguided Tour, won the International Center for Photography Infinity Award for Best Publication of 1990. Her work is in the collections of the Museum of Modern Art and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, and the Bibliothéque Nationale in Paris. She has had solo exhibitions at the Whitney Museum of American Art and other venues and is the recipient of the Guggenheim Fellowship Award.

Wolfgang Tillmans was born in Germany and studied at Bournemouth & Poole College of Art & Design in England. His photography first appeared in i-D and has since appeared in galleries, publications and museums throughout the world. He is co-publisher of the magazine Spex.

Francesca Sorrenti's work has appeared in such magazines as Spin, i.D., George, and Italian Vogue. After spending twelve years in Naples, Sorrenti now resides in Manhattan.

Christian Witkin began his career assisting photographers such as Annie Lebovitz and Bruce Weber. Since then, he has photographed portraits and fashion for magazines such as Vogue, Vanity Fair, Rolling Stone and i-D. His first book is due for publication at the end of 2001.

Marc Baptiste headed straight to Paris after securing a degree in photography from New York's School of Visual Arts, and began shooting fashion collections for Annie Flanders' early-'80s Details. Since then, he's become transcontinental, shooting for ad campaigns and magazines such as Vanity Fair and German Vogue.

George Holz, celebrity photographer, will have a book of nudes published in Fall of 2001 through Fahey/Klein Gallery.
