Is there anything not hot about James Franco? Aside from acting, he’s a fiction writer, aspiring director, and lover of all things indie. And if you were lucky enough to be at the Castro Theatre in SF last weekend, James brought his considerable cred to the stage for a night of art films and high school angst.
First: he made the appearance to screen artist Carter‘s new film Erased James Franco, and if there’s anything sexier than an evening with an art film star, I’m not sure what it is.
Second: he stuck around to play his favorite Freaks and Geeks episodes, which might actually be the one thing that’s hotter than the art film scenario.
Fact: brains, beauty, and an undeniable hip streak make for an irresistible combination, and it’s one that you can channel pretty easily. First, bookmark IFC’s host of handy blogs and keep up on all things cinematically indie. Second, get yourself a copy of Freaks and Geeks. Trust me on this — it will get you laid.
