The YouTube channel for perennial childhood favorite Sesame Street was taken down this weekend after the account was hacked. What were educational and entertaining videos about the letter B or how we do simple addition and subtraction became educational and entertaining — depending on what you're into — videos about anal sex. (And the videos weren't even starring Bert and Ernie! How inappropriate.)
Here's the text from the updated Profile section, saved on this Reddit thread. Ironically, the blurb makes it pretty clear that the hackers really could have used some of the videos they replaced, specifically any regarding comma use or subject-verb agreement:
WHO DOESN'T LOVE PORN KIDS? RIGHT! EVERYONE LOVES IT! IM MREDXWX AND MY PARTNER MRSUICIDER91 ARE HERE TO BRING YOU MANY NICE CONTENT! PLEASE DON'T LET SESAME STREET TO GET THIS ACCOUNT BACK KIDS 🙁 PLEASE…LET ME AND MRSUICIDER91 HAVE IT AND WE GONNA MAKE ALL THE AMERICA HAPPY!
The account was suspended, obviously, and user MrEdxwx took to his own account to deny any involvement in the hack, writing, "I did not hack Sesame Street. I am an honest YouTuber… I work hard to make quality gameplay videos, and most important I respect the community guidelines." (MrSuicider91 has remained silent, but his handle sounds pretty trustworthy and together so let's just assume he's innocent too, yeah?) The people at Sesame Street have issued an apology for the incident, and probably don't take comfort in the fact that anyone who stumbled upon the violated account still learned quite a bit while watching First Anal Quest.
