Meh. This is mediocre at best. This tells us nothing about the photographer or the subjects.

Q: What can you tell about a person from their t-shirt? A: None of these people should breed.

KFC commented on 11/26

These are the first modern street portraits you have ever seen. They are pictures. Not psuedo-narratives for your amusement. They present more of the honesty and dignity of the street that LF and KFC can handle. Why don't you really look.

JE commented on 11/26

Honesty and dignity? What on earth are you talking about? All we learned is that a certain segment of society gets their jollies dressing like they stepped out of a bloody Looney Tunes cartoon.

KFC commented on 11/27

These photos are so mysterious. I see peoples backs as I walk the streets but these pix take the portrait to a higher level. They are gorgeous and provocative. Most interesting yet for Hooksexup to publish. Finally some art.

I've been in photo business for over 10yrs and dealt with hundreds of photoghraphers from all around the world, but never seen any work like this. These pictures are mind blowing. Everyday we walk on the street we see hundreds of people dressed in various ways but never take time to think why they dress so differently. Could it be coz of their state of mind? Are they trying to express their feelings? Looking at these pictures I feel people are trying to share their feelings, beliefs, cultures lots of other things with each other using T-shirt as a their drawing board or canvas. Can't imagine how much time and effort Susan has put into it to capture them. I would like to thank Susan and hooksexup.com for sharing her work with all of us. Great work.....

All I can say is WOW WOW WOW. I've never seen photos like this and it is very cutting edge from my point of view. I'm a psychotherapist by profession and I wonder if it wasn't much easier for these people to have their picture taken from the back so they wouldn't have to submit there "person" to the shot. The photos are beautiful and extremely provocative. What does an artistic T-Shirt say about a person? The back of the shirt in addition to the stance of the person and even their hairstyles is telling. I'd like to see more of these photos, and meet the photographer to see more of them. What an artistic endeavor. MORE.....

Love these. Completely brilliant and innovative. KFC and LF need to stop being so pretentious.

JJ commented on 11/27

Hey DMS Let me tell you something, it's not as easy as it looks. I dare you go out and do it see how many people you can convince to pose for you like that and see how many good pictures you can come up with.

SS commented on 11/28

What Susan has done here is not an easy task. Takes a lot of time and effort to come up with something like that.

SS commented on 11/28

I think these are amazing! It reminds me to look UP once in awhile when I'm rushing through the streets of New York. There is beauty everywhere, and this artist really captured it. So cool.

dora commented on 11/28

Dora, I totally agree with you!

just because you spend time on something, doesn't make it art. There's something missing from this essay. I want to say humanity. Yes we get to see these people's fashion or clothing choices, and I won't judge them, for I have my own questionable T-shirt collection... but still??? I went to her website, to try and figure it out, and ended up loving the After Neon piece she has posted there. https://sabarnett.com/gallery_1_airplane.html I wish they would've posted that here. It's filled with true beauty..
