"My friends and I were just talking about the first CD we ever bought ... what was the first album you bought on CD?" A very friendly and courteous guy started a conversation with a girlfriend and I with this line. We were so impressed by the ingenuity and thoughtfulness that went into it (and as children of the 80s this was a perfect topic) that we had a great conversation with the guy. We were not actually interested in anything more, but had we been ... it was a great starting point!
