Okay, so the cat is out of the bag (so to speak) about the fact that I’m getting married at the end of the Summer. The reason I’ve been hesitating even mentioning this is that commenters have occasionally ripped Steph and/or Wendy a new one for the very idea that they might have significant others, so I’d have to imagine you’d come and burn my house down if I told you I was getting hitched.
In any case, bring the torches, cause over the next few months, I’m going to share some tips and tricks I’m learning along the way to getting married.
As already mentioned, I’ve gotten these lovely invitations from Perfect on Paper. If you live in Park Slope, you can stop by their exclusive distributor, Lion in the Sun, which is a ridiculously friendly and helpful store for making all sorts of invites. I also got my Save The Dates there, and they were also pretty rockin’.
And, Photostamps are a super quick and cheap way to make your own stamps. The photos are full color and glossy, with no real loss of quality from whatever jpg you upload. They also allow you to change the color of the price on the stamp to whichever color you like (wedding colors, people!)
Also, as a note on the picture above, which turned out just how I wanted it to:
- Take a white piece of paper (or a few of ‘em).
- Take a picture of whatever you like for the stamp.
- Upload it into Photoshop Express for free.
- Raise the brightness and contrast.
Bam, you've got your own “professional” looking photo for the stamp, that blends right into the background.
In any case, I’m going to be posting up more stuff over the next couple of days; but if you want me to shut up about it, let me know.
