In the past, Jane Fonda has expressed some abashment over her starring role in the 1968 erotic sci-fi romp Barbarella, telling CBS, "For a long time, I couldn't look at it… I thought that it was politically incorrect." This was always kind of a bummer, because she's not only sexy but really kind of daffily funny and charming in it. (Please refer to this clip for proof.)
In any case, she's come around and is now expressing interest in starring in a sequel. Her rationale? "I think it would be funny — and feminist." Way to be, Jane. The idea of a seventy-three-year-old (but very well preserved!) Fonda revealing what Barbarella's been up to for the last forty years is pretty hilarious. (Granted, this will never, ever happen, although a remake has been rumored forever.)
