Rosie O'Donnell voted worst talk-show host of all time

Last week, opinion website Sodahead asked the question, is Rosie O'Donnell the worst talk-show host ever?, allowing readers to vote for either the new Oprah Winfrey Network host or six others. The results are now in, and in a landslide consensus, 61% of voters agree that, yes, the woman who mentally scarred many for life with her leather dominatrix gear in Exit to Eden is indeed the worst talk-show host of all time.
Following Rosie in the voting was her former View co-host Star Jones (who O'Donnell had once accused of having gastric bypass surgery), Jerry Springer (who recently said criticism of his show was "class warfare," but what do you expect with one-legged transvestite catfights? But hey, who else can say they have an opera named after them?), Wendy Williams (not the equipment-destroying, Mohawk'd punker), cornpone Oprah discovery Dr. Phil, Pat Sajak (who obviously found his pot of gold on Wheel of Fortune), and Jenny Jones (remember her? The one who started out looking like a Poison groupie?).
The love for the tough-talking O'Donnell which was there in 1996 at the beginning of The Rosie O'Donnell Show, has obviously evaporated. It was there again in 2006 when she joined The View, but she eventually became too polarizing and mutually agreed to a contract cancelation, leaving the tough-talking to fellow Noo Yawker Joy Behar. Chevy Chase, John McEnroe, Keenan Ivory Wayans, Rick Dees, and Bonnie Hunt, you can all breathe now.

No, but the people who voted her "worst" must all be too young to remember Sally Jessy Raphael, who was so much worse she deserves her own category.

Yeah, I'm thinking voters all blocked Chevy Chase out of their consciousness. That was completely unwatchable.
Also, I think the slam on her costume in Exit to Eden is a cheap shot. Only women with Dana Delaney's then-body should dress up in S&M gear? Yeah, Rosie's always been overweight; is Hooksexup really taking the position that fat folks can't be sexy or do dress-up or role play? Or that they shouldn't depict those things in entertainment media? You normally applaud people like the woman who won the American Apparel contest or the success of "plus-sized" models; don't through it away for a cheap fat joke.
Sorry, got to go with your preposition: Only Dana Delaney (then) should have dressed up in S&M gear.

Exactly. Magic was mindbogglingly awful in an entirely different way from Chevy Chase, who never once give the slightest indication that he even wanted to be there. And whoever even came up with the idea that McEnroe should be a talk show host?
Yup, good call with Magic. I'd rather watch the Rajon Hour or the Chauncey Hour than the Magic Hour.
"Worst TSH in recent memory", yes. "Worst TSH of all time", no way. There have been TSHs for several decades; there's no recent to think that Ms O'Donnell is the worst ever, especially with few, if any, objective standards.

What makes Rosie so memorably bad is that she WON'T GO AWAY! She keeps working her way to the surface like a buried tire.
There have been bigger embarrassments (well, "more significant" anyway...), and hosts who are so bland as to not be easily recalled. But they usually have the sense to disappear. She doesn't.
