If you want to win friends and impress the gender of your choice with an innovative Halloween costume, it's important to stay au courant. Our five super-contemporary costumes (in regular and sexy versions) will ensure that you're extensively tagged in Facebook pictures come November 1st.

Double Rainbow Guy

Although Double Rainbow Guy doesn't actually appear in the video that made him famous, you can probably approximate a performance from the cosmically dazed sound of his voice. As a variation, if you have access to high-end audio software, consider carrying around a laptop and auto-tuning yourself.

Required Materials:

1 wolf/Native American-themed T-shirt
3 yards ribbon (rainbow colored)
1 broomstick
1 cardboard box
1 wig
1 wool poncho/jacket
1 half ounce psychedelic mushrooms (optional)

I might go relatively old school and rock a Don't Tase Me, Bro guy costume. I just have to find a half dozen people to follow me around dressed as rent-a-cops.

Now that I look at the picture, I might go as Shaun White/Double Rainbow Guy, carrying two rainbows on a stick in one hand, and a snowboard in the other.
