The Hype Line: Five things we can't look away from this week.

Welcome to the Hype Line, where we tell you the five things that are getting us excited for the week ahead.

The Stokes kick off their first tour in four years this week. The Strokes' Tour: If the proliferation of tank tops and sweat stains hasn't tipped you off, let us be the first to tell you that summer is here, and that means bands will be kicking off tours left and right. So what makes this one so special? That's easy: The Strokes have been on an unofficial hiatus since 2006, and this tour is the beginning of a period of renewed action on the part of a band, with a new album slated to come out in 2011. Do we dare dream that the band will reach its former highs after the members took some time off to do their own things? At the moment we're cautiously optimistic, but the tour — which kicks of this week — should give us our first sign.

Album art for Drake's Thank Me Later, Robyn's Body Talk Part 1, and Devo's Something For Everyone.New albums from Drake, Devo, and Robyn: Three new albums from three unexpected sources make this week especially exciting. Who would have imagined the Robyn of 1993's fine-if-forgettable "Show Me Love" would become a critically beloved electropop amusement? Or that the gangly teenager who played Jimmy on the perma-PSA Degrassi: The Next Generation would become Drake, Lil' Wayne's most surprising and exciting mentee? Or that Devo would even still be around in 2010? But here they all are, with Body Talk Pt. 1, Thank Me Later, and Something For Everybody, respectively. It's this week's refreshingly odd mix of artistry and backstory that makes for a fantastically enjoyable combination.

Padma Lakshmi, host of Bravo's Top Chef Season 7.Top Chef's Season Seven Premier: Tom Colicchio and his band of prickly, exacting judges are back for another season of fierce competition, over-sized egos, and over-salted risotto. This edition brings two big changes: the arrival of Eric Ripert as a permanent judge (don't let the door hit you on the way out, Toby Young) and a move to Washington, DC. Does the latter mean we'll have to endure an onslaught of patriotic punning with our Quickfire Challenges? Probably, but hopefully everyone will get that out of their systems fast. But even a "Roast Prime Rib au Jus-tice System" here and a "Bill of Rice Pilaf" there couldn't hamper our enjoyment of Bravo's most enduring and engaging reality TV show.

Poster for Jean-Luc Godard's film Breathless, which has a re-release this summer.Re-Release of Jean-Luc Godard's Breathless: If you've never seen this classic of the French New Wave, now is your chance. Fifty years after its release, Breathless (or A bout de souffle as it's more properly called) tells the story of Michel (Jean-Paul Belmondo), a self-styled Humphry Bogart type and amateur criminal, as he hides from the law with the help of his pixie of a girlfriend, Patricia (Jean Seberg). The new print of the film supposedly enhances the beauty of the black-and-white picture and updates the English subtitles with a more nuanced translation. While it's only in a few locations at the moment (like New York, LA, and Chicago), the film will roll on into new cities across the country for the rest of the summer.

Poster for Cyrus, a new film by Jay and Mark Duplass, starring John C. Reilly, Marisa Tomei, and Jonah Hill.Cyrus: We here at Hooksexup are unabashed fans of John C. Reilly, Marisa Tomei, Catherine Keener, and Jonah Hill, so how could we be anything but drooling over a movie starring all four? The film — directed by mumblecore-founders Jay and Mark Duplass — follows Reilly's John, a middle-aged divorcee, as he tentatively starts a relationship with Tomei's Molly, all while dealing with her over-protective son, the titular Cyrus. Picked out by two of Hooksexup's own entertainment writers as one of the stand-outs of the film festival circuit, Cyrus apparently makes the most out of the comedic pairing of Reilly and Hill, a combination we have no doubt will be explosively hilarious.

I just can't get over the fact that the guy who played Jimmy in Degrassi is now rapping lyrics like: "Cause I just see my ex-girl/Standing with my next girl/ Standing with the girl that I'm fuckin right now"

Yeah Cyrus looks good. Not sure why, but I'll definitely get the Devo album.
