Facebook stops working, forcing millions of Americans to start

The world's largest social-networking site has been intermittently out of service for a portion of the last hour, leaving millions of Americans no choice but to return to work.

Or, at least, they've been forced to move their late-afternoon procrastination over to Twitter, where several Facebook-themed trending topics -- #ServiceUnavailable, #MarkZuckerberg, #FacebookIsntWorking [sic] --  have sprung up.

On the bright side, when Facebook, with its giant staff and 500 million plus users crashes, it makes the rest of us feel better about our occasional technical lapses. Either way, I'm sure it'll be back soon.
