Top 10 Things We Didn't Need to Waste Time Doing This Year But Did Anyway (File Under: Facebook)

Posted by Emily Farris

In the spirit of year-end top ten lists, we've decided to compile our own. We thought long and hard about what most affected our lives this year, and when it came down to it, there was really only one thing that drew us to the Internets night after lonely night. So, here are the Top 10 Things We Didn't Need to Waste Time Doing This Year But Did Anyway, or How Emily Wasted 2007:

10. Spending too much time trying to figure out if the people we're looking at know we're looking at them (a la Friendster).

9. Writing things on people's walls we should have just sent in an email (Hey. Where have you been? Call me. Remember that rash I had to have checked out? I did. Call me. Seriously! 917-222-5555!!! XOXO!!!).

8. Ignoring "Are You Interested" invitations. We're not. We never will be. Please stop sending them.

7. Ignoring group invitations. Still not interested.

6. Updating our photo every time we change our hair color. Why does Facebook make it so complicated to change our profile picture?

5. Playing Scrabulous.

4. Waiting on our friends to make a Scrabulous move.

3. Waiting on Scrabulous to load. Why is it so slooooow?

2. Updating our status. Nobody really cares when "Emily is feeling like she's going to punch someone in the face because the people at Chase Bank have no idea what customer service is."

1. Knowing the status of every guy we used to date because they're our Facebook friends and it would be mean to delete them.
