Linda Jaivin is a freelance writer, translator and novelist. Her journalism has appeared in a wide range of publications, including Australian Rolling Stone and Australian New Woman, and her first book, Eat Me, became an Australian bestseller. Raised in New London, Connecticut, and educated at Brown University, she worked and studied in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and mainland China before settling permanently in Sydney, Australia. Jaivin's second book, Rock 'n' Roll Babes from Outer Space (excerpted here) was published in the Spring of 1998.
 
Aaron James is the pseudonym of a writer who moved to New York from the Midwest nine years ago. He has published reviews and fiction in several New York newspapers and magazines, and has written an unpublished novel. When he is not writing or hustling, he tends bar. He can be reached at .
 
Emily Jenkins is the author of Tongue First: Adventures in Physical Culture. She has a Ph.D. in English literature from Columbia, and her writing has appeared in The Village Voice, Spin, Mademoiselle, Feed and Swing, as well as the essay collections Surface Tension and Letters of Intent. Paul Jenkins teaches poetry and poetry writing at Hampshire College and is editor of The Massachesetts Review. His first book, Forget The Sky, appeared in 1980. His most recent, Radio Tooth, was published in 1997.
 
Philip Jenkins is Distinguished Professor of History at Penn State University. His recent books include Mystics and Messiahs: Cults and New Religions in American History, Synthetic Panics: The Symbolic Politics of Designer Drugs and Beyond Tolerance: Child Pornography on the Internet.
 
  Donna Johnson is protecting her true identity from sneaky publicists conducting background searches before clearing her to interview their clients. A freelance writer and the former technology editor of The Village Voice, she lives in New York with her dog, Peso.
 
  Jennifer Johnson lives in Boston. She'll tell you she's from New Orleans because she's from a one-stop-light town north of the city. Her work has been published in The Rockhurst Review, Midwest Poetry Review, Lilliput Review and elsewhere.

Jean Jordan is no longer dancing at Schieks gentleman's club. A former participant on the CBS Big Brother television show, she can currently be heard on 104.1 The Point in Minneapolis. She is working on a book about her experiences in the sex industry.

Jean-François Jonvelle has been taking pictures for over thirty years; women have always formed the foundation of his work (and his life). He has published five books and photographed for various fashion magazines including Elle, English Vogue and Marie Claire.
 
Susanne Junker is an artist and photographer whose work has most recently been exhibited in Paris, France and Maastricht, The Netherlands and appeared in such publications as Jalouse and Spoon. German born, she now lives and works in New York City. After travelling for four years in Australia and Asia, David Bellemere has settled in Paris where he is an up-and-coming fashion photographer.
