Jay-Z and Beyonce are expecting what will undoubtedly be the most swagger-filled, super-talented baby ever to grace this earth. And, in true Jay-Z and Beyonce fashion, they announced the pregnancy last night at the MTV Video Music Awards.
After rubbing her stomach and hinting about an announcement on the VMA red carpet, Beyonce closed out her performance of "Love on Top" by throwing her mic to the ground, opening her jacket, and once again rubbing her visibly pregnant belly while Jay-Z and Kanye West cheered adorably from the audience and I teared up in front of my computer. Breeders will never stop breeding, celebrity or not. No one is asking you to give a fuck if you don't want to. It's great to see a happy partnership of any gender, from any section of the socio-econ. strata, be so in love, glad to be evolving as a family, and showing all of us the power of hard work and love of life. Yeah, of course it helps to be fabulously rich and talented but take the money and the fame away and my money is on the fact that it'd be hard to deny that Beyonce and Jay Z's vibe would still be totally enjoyable. They spread love...and no matter how crappy I feel some days, news like this lifts.
That's all fine well and good, but this isn't news. If they weren't celebs no one outside of their circle of friends and family would care... or even know.
