Chris Brown now apparently trying to pick up girls by promising not to beat them

If you're ever arrested and convicted for beating up your girlfriend, there are two ways you can go about the rest of your life. One, you can understand your mistake, constantly apologize for it, and become an active member in organizations that bring awareness to the horrors of domestic violence. Or two, you can just kind of own it and become a bigger and bigger asshole every day. This Chris Brown fella? He's decided to go the second route.

According to US Weekly, Brown was trolling around the Grammy awards, trying his new pick-up line on for size:

Chris Brown ... confidently approached an attractive brunette Feb. 10 at the Lasio Professional Hair Care suite Grammy gift lounge and asked her, "Can I get your number? I promise I won't beat you!"

He and his friends laughed, then one yelled, 'That's his new line!'"

Now, okay. The story isn't one that's easily verifiable, seeing as it's really just one person's recollection of the events, so there's certainly a possibility this disgusting line never came out of his mouth. But has Brown done anything for us not to expect this exact kind of behavior out of him?
