Iowa Republicans still believe Obama is a Muslim
By Jeff MillsFebruary 10th, 2011, 1:00 pmComments (9)On Hannity the other night, go-to pollster Frank Luntz presided over a focus group of Iowa Republican caucus-goers, asking them questions about their reaction to Bill O'Reilly's Super Bowl interview with President Obama. One woman said that the president's foreign policy is governed by his religious beliefs. When Luntz asked her what she thought those beliefs were, she responded, "I believe that he is a Muslim." Luntz then followed that up by asking the rest of the group how many shared that belief. About a dozen people, representing half the group, raised their hands.
Other focus group members thought his religious belief was "liberalism, the most intolerant religion of all," seeming as if they'd been personally handpicked by Hannity himself. Another woman thought it quite possible that Obama is Muslim, "even though he says he is Christian." The point that seems to be lost in the brainwashing is that there's nothing inherently wrong with being a Muslim. It seems that these people need to be taught that not only is the president's middle name being used as a propagandistic tool, but also, not all Muslims are trying to knock down our buildings.

Iowa. Is there anything it can do?
I am an Iowa Republican..... I do not know one person Republican or otherwise who believes Obama is a muslim. This had to be a hand picked demographic and staged no different than a Maury Povich episode. Hooksexup loves to mock Fox News, but then use the network's bias as fodder to spread ignorance or perpetualize stereotypes.
According to a survey conducted by the Pew Research Center and publicized around the world in August of 2010, nearly 1 in 5 Americans believe Obama is a Muslim. You need to get out more.
You mean to say Iowa Republicans aren't the only fools worthy of mockery? I guess you're correct.
Until people like you (claim to be) start speaking up in public - and not just on liberal blogs like this one - we really can't believe anything different about repubs since we don't hear anything different. EVER. You trip over each other trying to be the most conservative.
Show me I,m wrong - please. Make my day.
Sorry, I was addressing dbtruex.
stay classy, iowa..
Errr...I don't think "perpetualize" is a word. Do you know where the moon came from?
Anyway, yeah, a whole pile of folks still think he's a Muslim - and as the write-up pointed out, it blows that that's still considered a "bad thing".
Iowa contains multitudes. Where is gay marriage legal again -- Iowa or California? Let's contain our bashing to Republicans, not Iowans.
Now you say something
