Well, it sure didn't take long to mash up Facebook's Timeline with Mad Men. While other Mad Men junkies were re-watching Don Draper supercuts, arguing why Christina Hendricks would make a fantastic Wonder Woman, and reading old Kiernan Shipka interviews as they counted the days to March of 2012 and season five, technology strategist Eric Leist hit upon the inspired idea of combining the season one episode "The Wheel" — in which Don cooks up an ad campaign for the Kodak Carousel — with Facebook's new Timeline feature that turns your profile into a virtual scrapbook.

As Leist says in the video description, "The most compelling elements of Facebook's Timeline are the ones that made Kodak's Carousel popular. Reminiscing is a social activity. It always has been and now Facebook is bringing that activity online."

In the video, you see Don pitch Timeline as only Don can. If you look closely, you see some humorous details, such as the "Shut up, Pete" line liked by sixteen people, as you travel back to the Dick Whitman days, climaxing in Cedar Rapids. It's like if Christopher Lloyd's Jim Ignatowski from Taxi were to show up at a Parkinson's fundraiser with Michael J. Fox in a DeLorean. Or not.
