He came over at five in the morning, after the bar where he works closed for the night. I'd slept with my phone next to my ear so that he could call when he was a few minutes away and I could buzz him in. My eyes opened at 4:22a.m. Where was he? In hazy disappointment, I drifted back to sleep. Then the phone rang. Within minutes he was in my bed. "Hello, naked," he whispered the greeting we'd adopted for one other in the past month. "Hello, naked" I smiled, as we wrapped around each other's skin.
