Parting Glances

French photographer Chrystel Garipuy is known for her moody, staged portraits of people, but this series is anything but moody. A series of men and women each lie on a bed or couch and are photographed in three Polaroids, both in their clothes and in the nude. The result is witty, evoking the storytelling game Exquisite Corpse. Only here, the models are both exquisite and very much alive. — Ada Calhoun
