Oklahoma's first transgender candidate promotes the "homosexual agenda"

Meet Brittany Novotny, born William Novotny, the first-ever transgender political candidate in the state of Oklahoma. She's running as a Democrat against -- brownie points to anyone who guessed it -- Sally Kern, one of the worst people on the face of the earth.

Remember these gems?

"Here in America we’ve had what maybe three known real big terrorist attacks on our nation. But every day our young people especially, all of us, but our young people especially are in a sense bombarded with the message that homosexuality is normal and natural."

"The homosexual agenda is just destroying this nation."

"I am not saying everyone has to be Christian; this is not a homogenous nation... What you have to be is someone who believes in a Judeo-Christian ethic, in other words, in knowing there's a right and wrong. Not all lifestyles are equal; not all religions are equal..."

She also tried to restrict divorce if the couples have children in the house or have not been together for at least ten years. Oh, and she created a heinous artifact known as the Proclamation of Morality. Scary.

Her opponent? She's quoted here from an interview with Jezebel:

"I knew from a very young age that I felt different about who I was compared to what people told me I should be, but I was a good kid, and tried very hard to be the person my elders insisted I be. As I grew older, I realized I could not continue to be a good community leader if I was not able to be honest about who I was."

"This race is not personal to me, and is not about me. This race is about the future of Oklahoma that we as Oklahomans wish to create. If we want to solve our problems and find ways for people to work together for the common good, regardless of party, then we have to focus on the issues that unite us, rather than the issues that divide us."
