Jennie Garth Weighs In

Posted by Lindy Parker

We have a question.  Is it possible that Jennie Garth looks even better now than she did when she and Dylan were sneaking around behind Brenda's back?  Seriously, we hope we look exactly like that after we've had three kids.

Here's what Jennie had to say about the skinny girls on 90210 and her renewed friendship with Shannen Doherty:

On whether or not the female stars of 90210 are too skinny:

"It's not my place [to address that issue]. I'm not a producer on the show. I just go in and do my thing and leave. I obviously care about the girls, but they seem healthy and happy, and they love what they're doing. I will certainly make some cookies and take them to [the girls], if that would make it better."

On working with Shannen Doherty again:

"It went really well.  I was...wondering how it would go...and by the sixth episode that we did together I kind of felt like we could be friends.  I feel like we've come a long way in our own personal lives, and while we're two completely different people personally, maybe there's a chance we could be friends and seen things in a different way."

Good to hear it, Jennie.  Our only sadness is that Shannen Doherty's last episode airs tomorrow.  So cruel.

About Lindy Parker

Lindy Parker has worked as a ghostwriter, editor, dance instructor and a purveyor of dreams, one beer at a time. She now writes for hooksexup.com's TV blog, "The Remote Island." She loves Charles Dickens and Gabriel Garcia Marquez and also, straight-to-video releases with Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. It's possible she reads more teen fiction than she should. She hails from Los Angeles, her hometown and soul mate, but she lives in Brooklyn, the fling she'll never forget.

Olivia Purnell left Ohio for sunny Los Angeles; then found that she couldn’t ignore New York City’s call, and brought herself to Brooklyn where she has worked with GenArt, BlackBook, the School of American Ballet, and finished an M.A. in Creative Writing from N.Y.U. She loves one-liners with sting and hates the stench of the subway in the summer. That said, she can’t get enough of either.
