So Denis Leary offended homosexuals and autistic children in his new book "Why We Suck." (Hey, is that the royal "we", Denis?) Well, the gay community is still waiting for its apology, but Leary offered something kinda like a mea culpa to the parents of autistic children, saying "I apologize for any pain the out-of-context quotes from my book may have caused." Way to step up, Denny!

But it gets better. Leary also says "I have nothing but admiration and sympathy for the people I know who are raising children with autism. In fact, they were the inspiration for the chapter I wrote on the subject." That'd be the chapter entitled "Autism Schmautism," in which he refers to "dumb-ass kids" and "inattentive mothers" who send their children to psychiatrists "to get back diagnoses that help explain away the deficiencies of their junior morons."

Sorry those quotes were out of context, Denis. You have nothing but admiration and sympathy for inattentive mothers and their dumb-ass children. Much better.
