The Best Political TV Last Night? Stephen Colbert Endorsing Barack Obama.

Posted by Bryan Christian

Yeah, we watched the Obamarama. It was OK. But honestly: we DVR'd Pushing Daisies, and it was excellent. Any show that has people that attractive and funny and manages to squeeze murder, gambling, dim sum, sexy discipline, AND waking the dead into a single hour deserves an audience however it can get it. But enough of the 8PM hour. Because the best thing about the election from last night was not the infomercial, nor Obama's Daily Show appearance, but Stephen Colbert's bold, weird, mavericky -- and, he notes, non-binding -- endorsement of the junior Senator from Illinois for president.
